Personnel

The musicians who play for us are amongst the most highly rated in the country, who besides performing regularly at jazz institutions including Ronnie Scotts, the 606 club in Chelsea and others, regularly tour internationally.

Alex Garnett - Saxophone, vocals
Since emerging from the bands of Ray Gelato, Buddy Guy, Dave Clff, Alan Barnes, Jim Mullen, Dick Morrisey, Jools Holland and others, tenor and alto-sax player Garnett has taken the jazz world by storm. Now semi-resident at Ronnie Scott's in London, where he regularly leads bands under his own name and accompanies visiting US stars such as Joel Frahm, Alex is in constant demand. He's also a very talented singer!

Atila Huseyin - Vocals
This young singer has already established himself as one of the foremost male jazz singers in the country, combining a profound understanding of the style with a beautiful tone and perfect intonation. When legendary crooner Buddy Greco heard him he said “I was knocked out by Atila. He has the voice and the class to show the world what great music is all about”. He subsequently invited Atila to join him on his 2008 UK tour, during which they performed with the BBC Big Band at the 30th Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival, subsequently broadcast on BBC Radio 2, prior to a residency at Ronnie Scott’s in London.
Quintet
Luke Steele - double bass
Resident bass player and also co-director of All That Jazz, Luke studied with renowned bassists Steve Watts, Dave Chamberlain and Simon Woolf at the Guildhall School of Music. Since completing his studies he has led a busy career as a freelancer working with names as diverse as Jim Mullen, UK sax legend Bobby Wellins, and Paul Jones of Manfred Mann fame.

Marie Murphy - Vocals
Singing in the tradition of Ella Fitzgerald and Anita O'Day, Scottish-born Marie is a truly world class performer with a stunningly beautiful voice. (Don't take our word for it - listen to her here!). Besides a busy career which has seen her performing at cities around the world including Paris, NY and Barcelona, Marie has performed at private events for, amongst others, Al and Tipper Gore, Bruce Weber, Lily Allen's mum and godmother, the Thai Royal Family, Sir Terence Conran and Sir George Davies.
